CHITKARA COMMUNITY RADIO

RADIO CHITKARA 107.8 FM – Our Community Radio has been on air since 26 October 2012 and has been serving its nearby community through varied content for the past 12 years. Radio Chitkara’s programs are mainly aimed at education, health, culture, agriculture, language, career guidance, environment, art and science apart from literature, music, counselling, child and women empowerment.

Various Central and State Government’s policies and programs are spread through this radio and interviews, talks and discussions with experts and authorities are broadcast. Special events and occasions are regularly featured in various formats and the audience / community’s involvement is taken with foremost priorities.

Various activities by Radio Chitkara staff and students are carried out in nearby villages as outreach programs and audio content is generated and aired.

UN’s Sustainable Development Goals are addressed through this CRS (Community Radio Station). The remarkable achievement this CRS did by broadcasting round the clock only Corona / COVID awareness campaign and about vaccination drive for 6 months and for this contribution it was recognized too by various agencies. During lockdown time in 2020 – 21, this CRS aired school education program so that the students can study various classes and courses through Radio too apart from online.

Radio Chitkara 107.8 FM has always been open to any relevant and authentic audio content so that its audience (mainly of Patiala, Mohali, Ambala and Panchkula District) residing in Punjab and Haryana in India can be benefited.
